Margareta van den Bosch, Creative Advisor at H&M, said: 'Maison Martin Margiela is one of the most important and influential fashion houses of the past three decades.

'I am so excited by this radical collaboration which will give fashion lovers around the world the chance to wear special pieces. This collaboration will be a great and memorable fashion moment.'

The industry is already abuzz with the prospect of the chance to buy Margiela at H&M prices.

Color blocking was all over the runways during Fashion Week spring 2012.

We are all looking forward to a summer of bright colors and fashion’s favorite color blocking. Although most of us prefer to limit the color red to lip stick and nail polish, it’s actually a beautiful and warm saturated hue which can transform any outfit from usual to stunning. We suggest you go for a pop of red, either in a print or one block item.

While heavy wool or lined pairs might not be ideal for the heat, wide legged pants in lightweight fabrics or denim can easily make the transition to spring. Lighten up dark coloured pants for the warmer months by pairing them with light colours up top – and swap the boots for wedges or high heeled sandals.

Tropical Prints: In The Market

 

Though there were a plethora of pretty florals that came down the spring 2012 runways, it was the tropical prints that really caught our eye. Tacky hawaiian shirts, these are not: designers like Stella McCartney and Joseph Altuzarra showed dresses, skirts and tees in chic, technicolor fabrics that evoked a blossoming island paradise. It's a cool new look for spring, and a departure from the delicate pastel florals we've grown accustomed to during the season. Whether you wear them dressed up or dressed down, these tropical prints are a fresh new way to brighten up your wardrobe.
